Work for the Dole
Work for the Dole is a Commonwealth Government program that provides work experience opportunities and activities for eligible job seekers. Through Work for the Dole, many unemployed people satisfy their mutual obligation responsibilities to give something to the community in return for their unemployment payments.

Green Corps
The Green Corps program gives young Australians aged between 17 and 20 the opportunity to volunteer to preserve and restore Australia's natural environemnt and cultural heritage. Through the training provided, participants are also able to improve their employment prospects. Projects focus on areas where heritage and environmental restoration and conservation are a high priority.
Green Coprs is delivered in partnership by Job Futures and Conservation Volunteers Australia on behalf of the Australian Government.

Youth Allowance
Youth Allowance aims at keeping young people engaged with school, the labour market, their family and their community. Youth Allowance was introduced with the aim of:
- ensuring eligible young people receive income support while studying, training, or looking for or preparing for paid employment.
- encouraging young people to choose further education or training over job search if they do not have sufficient skills to obtain long-term employment.
- encouraging young people to undertake activities that promote entry into employment.

Abstudy
Abstudy provides an income-tested living allowance and some supplementary benefits for Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander students at both school and tertiary levels. It also provides a Pensioner Education Supplement for eligible students.
