Out There Booklet
The “Out There” booklet is a resource for young people, and anyone who helps young people, to find out more about services available to them in the south west. The booklet was first developed in 2006 by the South West LLEN and subsequently reviewed and redeveloped in 2007 by students completing the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) at Camperdown College.
The South West LLEN is keen to follow on from the success of working with Camperdown College in 2007 by engaging another school to review and update the resource. The students of Camperdown College gained valuable skills during the project in 2007, so the South West LLEN is therefore eager to share this opportunity again for other students in the south west.
This project will provide students with a wealth of skills related to business management, marketing, information technology and finance. Importantly, the skills acquired by the students also directly relate to the four elements of the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning: literacy and numeracy, personal development, work related and industry specific skills.
