"A Fair Go For Rural Students"

The South West LLEN convened a public forum on June 3rd 2009 to provide students and parents with information regarding changes to the Independent Youth Allowance that will restrict eligibility.  The forum provided an opportunity for over 400 concerned parents and students to hear about and discuss the impact of the proposed changes.

What can you do?

If you are concerned about the proposed changes to the Independent Youth Allowance and the further impact this will have on regional disadvatage, you can Vote for the Resolution via the South West LLEN web survey or write a letter to your parliamentary representatives.  Two sample letter copies can be downloaded via the links below.  These letters also include the details of your parliamentary representatives.
