What Is Vocational Training?

As business and industry become more complex, vocational training (also known as Vocational Education and Training; or VET) has begun to take an increasingly important role for young people in education.  As the work environment changes, employees now require higher levels of skills to be effective, and to contribute to their region’s economic growth and prosperity.

Through VET and the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL), employees work with schools, training organisations and students to train and develop the vocational skills of young people interested in working in their industry.
